True, true, if there's any piston/rod in that cylinder at all. Maybe it's just back compression from the crankcase? I wouldn't like to touch that thing, it'd be like mechanical Jenga.

You know they're all on the road now, even Cracky Pete from the flats (owner of Rizla the dog) has got a car now, he must have passed the outstanding medical tests. That would make for an epic drag-race-stand-off at the traffic lights no? Asstral in the Robin, Cracky Pete in his little white Rover talking himself up to his imaginary passenger...

Somebody keeps scratching the Robin apparently*. 'Braino the Magnificent' (as he used to be called before, you know, before) is thinking of fitting a cheap cctv camera on board to catch them at it. So cheap in fact that he didn't seem to have understood that the camera would need to record onto something. I offered him an old Betamax video recorder I had at the bottom of a pile of old Betamax recorders, and a mains reel to power it all, thus doubling the value of the car**. It is indeed cruel to mock I know, but it's difficult to resist isn't it. There's no malice, when he doesn't owe me money for a K-bike I can find it all very amusing from a considerable distance.

* How can he tell?
** Now worth £3.20 + tax (coupons accepted). It was a cheap power reel, don't want to attract the thieves now do we? Well yes, yes we do.

The man himself -

Aaaaaah, fumes Petseal arrived today & it really is, I believe the popular parlance is, da bomb* There's just one small blemish where a small drop got on the primed outside surface, which of course will be sorted with 2 squirts & a quick rub. This paint prep has taken forever, but I'm working on the basis that if I get the base right & paint wipe the shit of of it the finish should follow. Should… We’ll see anyway.

I have discovered that to be a sprayer one really ought to have ocd tendencies, and enjoy monotony, repetition, and monotony. I may be doing it all wrong, which wouldn't surprise me as I've got no idea what I'm doing really, and I stubbornly refuse to go on a self educational stroll thru relevant search terms in the old goggle** I'm just planning to do the opposite to that which I've done every time I've produced a shit paint job. My brane is too bulgy to hold any more information right now. The main guiding principle is therefore simply 'take time', which seems to be what I didn't do before
All being well I should have got half way thru by the weekend though.

We’ll see anyway.

* Not quite as good as glue, but still not near as good as Old Lashleys Bajan Rum Punch, which, when consumed by the litre straight from the freezer like an alco-slushy, is tropi-holic heaven ++. I shall be most upset if I ever find out that any of you own private jets and Barbados beachfront property and have neglected to arrange a 6 month vacation for me. The family here won't mind (they're not coming!?!), they'd be well shot of me I'm guessing

** Have you ever tried image searching for ‘spraying’ with the search filters off? Not what I was looking for at all. By the way I’m guessing the answer’s ‘yes’ you reprobates.

The weather hereabouts is very not conducive to the construction or use of an improvised spray booth... nothing else much to broadcast, so here's the testcard instead -
