If you have no idea then the best place to start is Creeper's setup thread, and use Laramie's BST Bible for reference. Then check the usual suspects if you haven't already (start with the battery - even a low battery can be an issue if you don't disconnect/turn off the headlights).

Since there is one post to the contrary on some points: Creeper thought the modest slide drilling had merit. oops, wrong thingie Creeper thought clipping the spring had no merit. Creeper thought changing the jets (if necessary) for your altitude had merit. I am guessing that if the jets are wrong you won't get good results. Not sure what "fresh air in the exhaust" means... ![]() Last edited by meat popsicle : 11-13-2009 at 07:01 AM. |

I think that is a completely different exhaust from KTM (sparkie vs no sparkie SXC can). Maybe someone makes a sparkie endcap? |

OK, one more place to check is down in the "Ask Baldy, Blame _________" forum. Ask for Baldy to get back to you since you might not know who is a mod that has checked with him or not. |

For the sxc can,, pull the tailcap and check you should have a turbine type s/a in the center of the muffler and not the tailcap.. Mine was gutted by the previous owner.. If your was gutted get a universal round screen from JC whitney or like the bigdogs one and tac weld it into the tailcap. I was rushed for time and had a brand new sparky add-on s/a for a muffler sitting around. I removed the insert part and made a plate that slipped in behind the tailcap and the s/a screen is welded into that. I have to make a how to thread as it was easy and I took lots of pics.. but i'm better with a welder and wrenched then postin pics..
