I can see the need for oil changes. But what is this gear washing you speak of? It's just going to get muddy again.

So just show up tomorrow with your muddy gear. No need to wash, and you won't encounter feces on your bedding -- a win, win.

Another good ride today! A little wet, but not too bad. Found some new stashes, still in the west of before-Scappoose area. It was WB, Squirrels and me. WB was temped with this old Subaru, but it turned out to be a bit too much of a fixer, even for him.

Also came across this abandoned house. WB was thinking "free rent".

Not much riding pictured...

Has WB got a deal for you, Craigslist!

What's this back here? Ta Da!
("It really does smell as bad in here as you'd think")

Found the next ADV meetup spot. WB has the GPS coord. Bring your own burger for the BBQ.

Is that a human hand on the floor? ADVers know quality facilities when they see them.

Possible Hippie cabin. Then a little Americana closer to civilization.

Was a fun ride. I don't have a map of the area we ride in. Half way into the day I think we must be getting lost and won't find our way back. But we have so far managed to backtrack home. Maybe a map would spoil it.

Great pics.

By the way, those hub caps go for $18 each on eBay.

Yeah, nice pics, E. I like the pickup door w/ the Suzuki sticker. Might you have Photoshopped it a bit -- ran some color filter through it?

That's pretty much what I remembered it looking like... That's why I wanted someone to take a picture of it.

I only resized and auto-leveled the exposure in PS. Color vivid but true. Thanks guys for the ride and the comments.

I just spent some time on the satellite images\maps online of the area we found the houses... I can't find any signs of the houses from the air. I tried a few different sights that had older\newer maps. Clearly the old satellite images would be more useful since the houses wouldn't be overgrown, but alas, the old ones lack the detail of the new ones.

My threw in an idea I hadn't thought of. Maybe they were part of a hippy commune. The shack with the round window fits the bill. The bigger houses must have been for the cult leaders and their harem.
