Just got back last night from Saline Valley. Went in and out South Pass... very little snow and a bit of ice. Most of the icy areas have two dirt tracks from car tires. There are a few relatively short places with ice all the way across the road. I heard North pass had more snow... one person told me 4x4 was a good idea.

Saline Valley road has a lot of washboard... really bad washboard. Probably as bad as I have ever seen it.

One of the worst sections of South Pass:
Mixing gas and haulin' ass.
