Brushy Mountain Sunday Jan 24

If it's open that day, some of us Charlotte folks are planning on riding @ Brushy Mtn Sunday, Jan 24.

http://www.bmmspark.com/

Cost is $20 if you're not a member of BMMS. I HATE paying fees to ride, but have to admit that it's actually well worth the cost @ Brushy Tons of singletrack, big elevation changes, some challenging but doable obstacles, and great flowing trails (that aren't rutted or too littered w/ rocks and roots).

Let's get some conversation going about ride time, carpooling, which oil should I use, what's the best rear tire ever, etc..

EDIT:

ARRIVAL TIME: 9:30 AM, Sunday Jan 24
KICKSTANDS UP: 10:00 AM

(stole your quote from the HARDCORE thread).

I guess shoot for ARRIVING at 9:30 Sunday AM, and RIDING at 10 AM. 30 minutes to grip n' grin, unload, gear up, warm up bikes, etc.

I have a 47T rear sprocket and should be fine w/ either front sprocket - maybe w/ the 12T front I'll be more inclined to explore some of the enduro trails marked w/ a skull&crossbones...

I hear ya on calling ahead, I'll check in Friday and again Saturday if weather necessitates. FWIW - One of the reasons they have such nice trails is that they won't open when the ground is soaked, thus leaving a rutted up mess in a few hours.

We should have a good-sized Charlotte crew - if we have room on my 6x12 trailer I'll definitely let you know!

Great! You'll enjoy this a lot more than the last sh*t hole we went to. I have a spot left on the trailer if you want to ride up with us. Let me know.

Welcome aboard Roberto.

Oh yeah, K Bar M... I'd rather ride through a junkyard in a strip mine than that place , still can't believe we paid to ride, er, bust trail there...
