Ride eve bump, in case you got distracted by the blather - and lovin' mtbdemon was dishing out.
By the way, a couple of us are spending the night out in Hood River and riding back some route on Sunday. If you are interested in that ride on Sunday let me know. -mat

Shit, I'm Out.
![]() ![]() Just after I complete the SM to TE conversion, a LOT of magic smoke pours out of the kill switch and my headlight dims. Better the driveway than the trail. This was unprovoked failure. The pictures illustrate the damage. The entire kill switch is dead. the power lead shorted on the ground lead. I need a new switch to get going right. So I'm out for Saturday and busy Sunday. And I really needed this ride!

That was a good day! Though his orthopedic might not have approved at all, _h did play it as conservative as he could. And I'm glad we successfully coaxed Squirrels to rig up a temporary homebrew switch so we could join us on the ride.
Attached is the route from Washougal to Dougan Falls to Stevenson -- and then the playing around we did on trails near Stevenson. PM me if you'd like a kml to load up in Google Earth.

woah
Glad I opted to stay on the pavement! Looks a little too technical for me...but like a lot of fun. Glad the ride went well, and the weather was great too!
