Question F800GS chain and sprocket replacements?

Did some searching, but came up mostly dry. I see that Supersprox is apparently working on a replacement set which is good news as their products have a really good rating but so far there is nothing listed on their website as being available.

Anyone have any recommendations for aftermarket replacement sprockets front and rear in the stock sizes and using 525 sized chain?

I am sure a chain thread is not much different than an oil thread, but are there any recommendations for a really good, long lasting O or X-ring chain?

Thanks for the help. A friend and I are both at the point where chain and sprockets are going to need to be replaced and I figured I should look here for some advice.

I went with the DID X ring 525 chain on my 650twin. Got my replacement sprockets from Touratech.

But Twalcom USA would be another good place to get sprockets.

cheers,
Mark

I've got 30,000km on a DID VM2 and it's still looking great! I have only had to adjust once since I installed it. Big thumbs up. I can't comment on sprockets as mine are still stock.

I got a Regina set (O ring chain and standard size sprockets) from Hornig in Germany. I Got two sets (one for a friend) posted to my house for just over AUS$260 each compared to the Touratech alternative in Australia of about AUS$440.

I've done between 1,000 and 2,000 kilometres and haven't had to adjust the chain yet. Time will tell I suppose.
