Decals Missing

Just noticed yesterday that I have some of the decals missing from my F800GS. First thoughts were that someone had pulled them off. As you can see from the photos the "800" individual stickers are missing.

Not a scratch on the piant however - so nobody used anything sharp to remove them (unless they worked very carefully) The bike is always garaged and I only park it in busy areas when I do park it in town for example.

I did wash the bike using the high pressure cleaner once or twice - but I can't think that the water pressure would only affect 3 of the 6 stickers - the F and GS ones are completely secure with no lifting around the edges.

Anyone experience the same ?

Now you see it.......

Now you don't....

Pete

Some one kyped it. You can get a finger nail under these decals, even though it looks like you can't. It's pretty easy actually. Now why some one would take just the "800" part is beyond me. Actually, why some one would steal anything is beyond me. Looks like someone was just trying to mess with you or make your day bad.

the BMW decals are very expensive. If you plan on replacing them, you can try this guy.

I have a set of BMW decals. They won't stick to my new, high dollar paint job.
Someone could score them pretty cheap.

Pressure washer will remove them. Mine lost the last 0 on one side, it now says F80
They might have been loosened by the presure and came sometime later.

Just painted my bike and had the dealer quote me $70 a piece for those little buggers. Checked out a local sign shop (Speedpro) and they can do me up something close to the same or different for 25 to 40 bucks.

missing stickers

it was me, I placed them on the amazingly flat belly of the nubile 19 year old next door tanning, trust it will look cool, it was worth whatever you have to pay to replace them.

Trust me, no one will mistake it for a KLR.

And you've still got the roundy-round thingy if you forget which brand it is.

Actually, I bet the 19 year old was rubbing up against your bike and that's how the stickers came off.

Those BMW's attract ladies like fly paper.
