Wow!! How many fried clutches, rims bashed into new shapes only remotely resembling round, extra unplanned holes in engine cases?? Looks like fun though.

Gasser's B-Day Ride
So a bunch of us got together today to help Gasser celebrate his 69th B-Day by riding some trails near his house and then BBQ'ing afterwards. We did most of the same trails from the DS two weeks back, there were nine riders, four 2T's and five thumpers plus good ole MK200 Race Master Ed on his ATV. Another four hung over and sand bagging folks with their GF's showed up for the BBQ plus IdahoSam and his lovely wife. Weather was sunshine with grey and wet mixed in with rain but we had a great time! First stop was the shoreline boulder climb.
Ben on his 450X: ![]() Dennis on his YZ450F (with plate ):![]() Lehua on her 280 Pampera: ![]() Wayne the "Real Trials Rider" on his Pampera: ![]() Gasser, Jared, and Blue lining up for their run: ![]() A few miles down the coast after coming out of the jungle and hitting the lava again: ![]() Back at Gasser's place, loaded up, and BBQing: ![]() And the man himself admiring his "Over the Hill" King Sized Emergency Whistle, no "Help I've Fallen and can't get (it) Up" radio link for Gasser! ![]() Great ride, great food (every male brought at least three lbs of BBQ stuff) Kal Bi ribs, Korean Tri-Tip, Shrimp, salad, cake, pie, baked potatos, Kim Chee, hell pretty much a typical Local GRIND!! Great times, I fell into a hole with my bike on top of me, Gasser flipped his bike on top of himself, Dennis bounced from root to rock totally out of control until he dropped his air eight or so pounds, Blue's battery died, Ed nearly flipped his Quad numerous times, and Gasser got the KILLER BBQ going!!!

Vacancy at the Big Island ADVrider Inn
Idahosam's KLR is headed toward the Sunny Side of the Big Island with a new owner so there's a vacancy at my ADVrider Stash Joint.
![]() Lot's of space, tools available (metric, SAE, power, torque wrenches, and (mini) air compressor), lot's of M/C specific fluids, and Free Maps for those that want to explore! In exchange be willing to drink beer, bust your knuckles, enjoy the rain, and be quiet when the little man is napping. See ya Sam! Y'all come back now, hear!

May 2nd Big Island Dual Sport Association Dual-Sport BBQ Ride
Here's the details; Anyone can make this ride, treat your wife/girlfriend to a good ride. Street only bikes take the pavement to Pohoiki, turning right @ Hwy 137 Kapoho/Kalapana Rd, go 1/2 mile past the 12 mile marker, BBQ spot is just past Mackenzie State Park on the Ocean side. Level "2" riders go down HPP Maku'u Dr to Beach road to Kapoho/Kalapana RD, go 1/2 mile past the 12 mile marker. Serious level "4" Off road Dual Sport riders can make it interesting by usingGasser's trail 69 sections to get to Kapoho/Kalapana RD, turning off into Mackenzie State Park and taking that sandy Coconut grove section leading back up to K/K Rd, turning left, the BBQ will be about 300 ft on down the road. I will be there with my truck all set up about 10:00 am firing up the BBQ @ 12:00 noon. Riders only need bring their choice of steak & drink. Note> You may want to bring a small ground cover to sit and eat on. I will provide salad & dressing, BBQ, napkin's, K, F, S, cups, plates, water, and cooler full of ice to cool down food & soda's. Note> (serious Trail 69 riders may want to have someone else bring their steak/drink stuff) Call Wayne Blyth @ Big Island Power Sports 961-3033 for for details about the staging time for riders of level "4" Trail 69 sections. He sleeps on the couch on any sunny Sunday Procrastinating this ride saying some other day ~Time waits for no one~ He grabbed a big hand full of the go fast grip Proclaiming, shit man, I'm going to let'er rip ~Gasser~ |
