Cool, I'll have some breakfast here... and hope I don't starve before I can find another meal.

Sunday Ride

Now that today's on-pavement ride has departed, I'll post up for tomorrow:

WHEN: Sunday
MEET: 9:30 am, NW Industrial Starbucks
[Corner NW Yeon Ave (AKA Hwy 30) & NW 29th Ave]
RIDE: Scappoose West

Plan is to ride to Scappoose and head west from there to Pisgah Home Rd. I want to hit some of the trails we found that are bit more challenging than vanilla logging roads.

Nice day out east...

You guys were on the wrong side! Actually, today is one of those days you can't really take a wrong turn on a bike...

Stunning flowers in the gorge.

Tree tunnels. I like tree tunnels.

Lucky to live & ride here...

Damn, really wish I could make this but being Mother's Day and all I think I'd be in the dog house.

Have fun!

Center stand is modified - and they did something stupid\wrong with the stop. I modified the stop a bit, then added an extra catch that should at least slow the stand down if it ever pushes past the stop again. I NEVER want that to happen again.

Doesn't hurt just sitting anymore, but it is tough to walk. When V-Stroms attack - How do you get hurt without colliding with anything!

Three more pics (cell phone):

Ah, yes, the K-bike wiring harness, made from the finest of wires looped in the most circuitous of routes. I turned one into smoke a while back. I wonder if the bike's subsequent owner was bothered by all the lamp cord I used to replace it. (take that WB-PDX!).

Diamond Mill

Well, I'm a bit sore today. I tagged along, and tried to keep up with three guys over from the SuperMotoJunkie forum, who definitely had more skilz and experience with single track than me. We went to Diamond Mill. I dropped the DR several times, even looping it on one particular steep climb. Nothing broke. But it sure started to feel awful heavy in the end. Thanks guys!

Had to do a chain repair as Eli snapped his not more than a few hundred yards from the staging lot. Luckily I had a master link with me and it didn't take too long and we were back out again.
