KTM is now electric Freeride Ready To Race

My latest email from from team Pumkin. Gonna need a long lead for adventure riding.

To DOUGLAS,
HIGH VOLTAGE

Our mission was clear - go to the Tokyo Motorcycle Show and prove that KTM is serious about producing electrically-powered motorcycles. In fact, very serious!

This issue of 'Brennraum' we take you to Tokyo for a very special occasion, the release of the concept bikes we've dubbed 'Freeride'.

Click on the article below for an electric shock!

So now there is the ZERO electric mx bike, the Quantya Track Evo and now KTM's Freeride on the electric offroad bike market...

Wonder if Suzuki will capitalize on their past relationship to MAKITA and enter the fray...?

BFW. Now where's my Adventure?

I wonder about electric vehicles. Mains electricity, generated by burning coal, then at least two-thirds of that output sacrificed to transmission losses. Somehow it doesn't add up to me.

+1.

Hydrogen fuel cell technology is the go. Solar panels on your roof at home, converting water and sunlight to hydrogen gas during the day, so when you get home you can fill your vehicles from the H tank in your back yard. Then convert the hydrogen gas back to water with a catalyst and oxygen from the air to generate electricity when and where you need it. Zero pollution (apart from manufacturing the equipment). No transmission losses cos it's generated on site. H can be carted to servos in trucks so you can fill up anywhere. Once the scientists among us can make it more efficient and cost effective, it has to be the way to go....

Flying down a rock strewn track with 20 litres of compressed liquid hydrogen between your legs, now that would be an adventure.....
