I like to share my latest warranty experience with Uniden.

I bought last year a UH078SX uniden radio after hearing good things from my friends.

After a month of usage both battery and the charger failed and Uniden promptly replaced them for me. Then everything went ok till three weeks ago when the actual unit just died without any appearent reason. So I send the radio only back to uniden especting them to fix it. Immagine my surprise yesterday when I received a big box with a new unit in it including all the extra bit. Inside I did found the sheet from the technician with the simple explanation that because every single bit of my previous purchase had already fail,he decided that I already went trough too much trouble, so to apologise, the company agree to replaced it with a new unit.

So now I found myself with 4 battery, two charger, two mic. a new car charger, two belt clip........

A very happy ending to a "look like" lemon purchase.

I have been using Uniden products (UHF radios mainly) for the past 20 years, but never had to use their warranty before.

When a company does the right thing for me, I think the least I can do, is letting other people know about.
