[italy] One Day Offroad, From Milan To Tuscany
18th of may early in the morning, meeting point on A1 highway Autogrill San Zeno; me and two friend of mine: Flavio and Maurizio.
A little breackfast: cappuccino and cream croissant, a big salame sandwich for lunch time, water and ice into the camelback, a fast view to the map and swich on the big cows!
30 minuts of highway till Piacenza and we leave it for SP 45, along Trebbia river to Bobbio.
The road coast highly the river trough a sort of canyon, all green after the recently heavy rains; the river change his color from azure to emeralt to green.
Few km after Bobbio we go left on the fist offroad step; a non so easy mulattiera (mule road) ascending to Talecchio Mount
A short pause to set equipments and tire pressure and then go on!
The way is full of big stones and rolling stones; Small front wheel and bike weight are not so usefull for this roads but we did our best to reach the summit.
I'm happy for my performance even if I have fallen twice due to my sayng: when you are not so sure on what you have to do .... open the trottle!!!
after we ride 7 kms the roads becomes a simply plane gravel road for other 10 kms and then we reach the asphalt
go ahed trough the green to Sella dei Generali and Brattello Pass descending to Pontremoli.
Passed this town go up again Cirone Pass, Lagoni Pass and 100 Lakes Park with his forests
Now we go down to Aulla directions passing back by Pontremoli and ascending to Zeri to find the "ghost road", a way never completed, under construction from many, many decennial!
We find it and the downhill is really long but easy
it was a long day and now 180 highway kms wait us to bring us home and the followings are the trip details and a short video
