Some more AIRHEAD home-made tools

Got my welder fixed last week and was finally able to finish the set of final drive repair tools.
All shop made here, some regurgitated BMW bits were used.

Very cool, Robert! You know, it's one thing to be able to apply the correct force to something, but if the sucker aint mounted and able to withstand an equal and opposite force, you just won't get anywhere.

Snap-On SUCKS

While on the subject of tools, I was dismantling these shocks today, and watched (felt) my Snap-on 9mm wrench spread open and slip off the flat that is on the shaft of the damper. Sometimes these boogers are on tite!
Off to the misc. wrench drawer and dug out the German made STAHLWILLE 30 year old wrench I used when I was a VW mechanic (for the same job!), and lo and behold, it still doesn't spread open and I got the job done. Snap-On, your quality sucks anymore.
The original tools I bought 30 years ago are much better quality from Snap-On than what they sell today. Thicker box sections to make up for shittier metallurgy, etc.
But all in all, I am getting rid of them all and replacing with Hazet, Stahlwille, Witte, Gedore, Dowidat, Heyco, and there are others. Buh bye Snap-on. Thanks for nothin'
Rant over
