Torque Value for front sprocket change?

I'm going to swap out the front sprocket. Anyone Have the torgue value handy?

Also, can anyone point me to thread that had the number in it? (I've been reviewing old threads for 30 minutes.)

Which brings me to my *other* question. I know there is a better search engine for ADV by using Google search. Would someone please tell me how to use it?

Thanks!!

To search ADV in google you need to specify a site for Google to search. This is done with the "site:ADVrider.com" addition in the search bar.

For example, if I type "front sprocket torque f800GS site:advrider.com" into the Google search bar, this is what I get:

Search Result Here

Within the first page, I found a link to this discussion.

Hint: When presented with the search results on Google, instead of clicking the title, click the word "Cached" that sits to the right of the URL. Doing this will highlight the words you are looking for making it much easier to scan the results without doing all that unnecessary reading.

Happy searching (25Nm).

According to my $125 CD repair manual, google translation from German into Old English, it is 37 ft#. Do me a favor, mine appears to be wallowed out and doesn't catch a thread until the bolt has been inserted almost 3/4 of the way into the shaft. Same with yours?

sprocket change

Thanks, guys!

Nice to have a "search" function that works!

I can't check the bolt thread since my bike is in the shop because of a total battery failure at 2,700 miles. (This after being on BMW's ridiculously expensive charger 24/7.) :-(

Geez, this is one *buggy* bike! (But it's fun to ride!)

All the torque values added to the "Can I maintain it myself" thread and link in the index.
