Armadale Ulysses S.i.g Ride
Well it's been about a month since Armadale Heritage S.I.G riders went out for a run so Sunday 27th was touted as a ride down to a lovely old pub down in Quindaning. As usual we picked a destination that would allow the bitumen riders to meet us for lunch. Sorry there's not too many photo's, I was having too much fun riding.
![]() guzzimikes new Revitt suit arrived this week, here he is looking a bit like Ewan and thingy. Drtrebor photo bombing in the back ground. This was on top of North Dandalup dam ![]() ![]() the picnic area below the dam is a beauty with bbq's and swimming hole. ![]() Ewan and Thingy the 800GS riders well Mike and Steve anyway. Morning tea was held on the banks of the Murray River, we pulled out the stoves and boiled the billy and bullshitted away for about 45minutes before having to head off. ![]() ![]() a nice varied collection of bikes with 1 DR , 1 KLR, 2 800GS's, 1 1150GS, 1 Moto Guzzi NTX 650 and 2 1200 GS's. ![]() After smoko time to head off to make up time to meet at the pub on time, so not many more photo's. ![]() Heading accross the bridge to get onto the Harvey- Quindaning rd ![]() bit of a tight fit for the bikes with panniers on ![]() Alan on the GSA making it look easy. No more photo's till after the lunch break, too keen to get the nosebag on for one of the famous Quindaning steak sanga's and left the camera in my jacket pocket. ![]() See the tree in the background, well riding into the setting sun made it pretty difficult to see, Mike missed the tree then turned around to warn everyone else only to watch as steve decided to do a bit of pruning. A sore ass and arm was not too bad as he was in 5th gear doing about 80 when he hit it. ![]() Couple of bits of broken plastic, I reckon with one of Mikes "Ewan " suits he would have been right. ![]() A regroup at the end of Metro Rd and Brookton Hwy saw us say our goodbyes and head off, some down the hwy and others up Ashendon rd and then home along Weston rd ![]() ![]() Robbie about to mount up on his 1150 for the trip down the highway. A great day out with the boys getting dirty, see you all on the next one.

None of us got caught up, the blokes with panniers and saddle bags just went over slowly whilst Steve rode it at about 40kph on his 800. Somwhere on the ride reports is a photo of Konrad (ktmpilot) riding his 990 with saddle bags across.

Last time I go anywhere near you bastards until I've had a roll in a big bulldust hole.
There wasn't a stop where the opportinity wasn't taken to bag my sartorial elegance! That tree could have been a lot worse, I only saw it at the last second and did some light pruning, I turned around to go back and warn the rest, in time to see Steve going arse up. If it had fallen the other way things may have been much worse. Be very careful heading into the sun.
