God, I despise Garmin software and their map unlock process
You would think Garmin could do much better.
I'm on a new PC and it's been just long enough since I mucked with unlocking Garmin maps that I forget just about everything about it, including where the old Product Key, Serial Number, and Customer Code could be found.
Found the Serian number on the unit, of course.
Got the product key from the download online, but of course it's not correct.
Customer code is beyond me - I have no idea where to get it.
The automated support attendant is telling me it's a 30+ minute wait, due to "unusually high call volume". Since I got the same response about a year and a half ago, last time I called, I'm thinking it's not all that unusual.
I would never recommend a Garmin to anyone else, strictly on the basis of how difficult the product update process is. They have so many codes it's ridiculous.
