Riding round Mt St Helens tomorrow (which is 5th July).

Plan is to ride round Mt St Helens and hit FS99 that I heard talk of in the Mt St Helens thread and as much graval as I can find. No fixed route, going where the wind and the moment takes me. Very Happy to have company. PM me if interested (with Phone num), I'll check them in the morning before I leave. I usually ride later than most (screw early mornings...this is my day off). I don't ride particularly quick (1150GS woth tourances), but I have fun and most pieces fitted to my bike come home with me..

Let me know. Will be sober in the morning . Not sure how drunk this sounds.

I am in Banks OR, will adjust route to fit with company,

S1
(come keep a limey out of trouble). John PM me your number, we need to ride and see how that DR goes.

Oh ya I'll finally make it to planb Thursday. Need a lot of advice for the DR. Got some new dash need help with, and what better way to get help than to buy a bunch of drunks beer and ask them to work on your bike.

Barlow

Did the Barlow Road yesterday. Strom's all dialed in!

There were some puddles here and there, but this one was the biggest. I got off to survey it first but it wasn't bad.

I even got some footage of myself a la Les Stroud.

After getting to the dry and windy side I headed toward Parkdale to drop in on AppleJam's BBQ. I didn't take the route I intended but I was never lost.

About the time I figured out what road I was on and which way I was going to hook back up with 35 I ran into this.

Guess I'll backtrack past Badger Lake again. On the way back I stopped to pull out the Benchmark and a guy on an XR600 stopped to confirm my directions. You meet the nicest people on a Honda!

I got to AppleJam's in time to pick over the leftovers. Yumm!

Played with the pooches, drank some bourbon and ended up crashing in Jeff's motorhome. Thanks dude!

Got to sit on a different kind of ride too.

Nice back yard.

Today we went for a ride past Timothy Lake to the Clackamas River Hwy. My camera had died so I took a couple of shots with the iPhone. We stopped at Little Crater Lake. I never knew about this.

It was a nice ride today down the twisty paved FS roads because we were riding with Jeff's neighbor on his Buell Lightning. Great day for a ride, albeit a bit chilly up there. I need more 3 day weekends.

Thanks for the awesome picture!

I'm convinced that the world would be a better place if more people had happy dogs like these and more three day weekends ..........
.............And rides like yesterday's.

The loop back was just as good, Easy-Z, Pedro (Buell) and I even saw a little black bear coming up Pinhead Creek Road (FS42). I gotta say, that's my favorite road in the world. That FS42 uphill one lane paver from Clackamas River Road towards Timothy lake! My bike was made for that road on that day.

Nice pics, Easy-Z. Even though I spent all week out in Hood River last week, I did very little riding as my bike was out of commission most of the time. But I finally got it sorted (mostly), and did get a couple of impromptu rides in. Here is a pic on the WA side facing east, about 5 miles east of the Hood River bridge (near Syncline):
