Peak_Oil is coming from Salem past Detroit on FS46 & 42 to meet me at Clackamas Lake Ranger Station somewhere around maybe 11am-noon-ish.

At this point, I don't know where we'll ride, or what we'll do. I'll check back in AM.

I'm sorry that work sucks.

Sounds like you need Therapy.

Work doesn't suck so much when YOU'RE NOT THERE!!

I'll have lunch in Zig-Zag today after riding Lolo Pass & I'll be thinking about y'all.

Post Canyon

Eli (lunchkrispy) and I rode Post Canyon single track today, out here in Hood River. It was a little warm and dusty, but not too bad. Mid-ride we stopped at Kingsley Reservoir and went for a swim. Man, that hit the spot.

Maybe next time work will be just a little less important.
WTF? It sucks anyway, right?
Sorry I didn't get to meet you yet asrvivor, I'll look forward to next time.

Matt,
Let me know when you do that ride again. I haven't had the KTM out since Black dog

I managed to coax Apple Jam away from work yesterday and come on a ride. We went exploring north of White Salmon, WA, mostly county gravel roads, and some logging roads we came across. Can't tell from the pic, but this rail car was sitting on a 60' length of rail, out in the middle of nowhere.

It was one of the weirdest things. It was truly in the middle of this big clearing that appeared to be an orchard 50 years ago or so. Today it's apparently a trainyard 15 miles from the nearest town and 5 miles from the nearest paved road.
Weird for sure. Good day!

You know, it's funny you say that, because sitting under a cement brick on the back "deck" of that Caboose was a 2010 Census notice, demanding response. It definitely was not lived in, at least since it had been torched. With big firecracker remnants laying around.... Hmmmm.

Had to stop to ponder the purpose of this little useless two track loop-with-a-view. Apparently this little road was made just for us, a long time ago.

Wifey wouldn't allow this in the home lanscaping theme. That's all we could figure anyway. WTF? Why IS thise HERE?

It's too bad you cannot see the sign on the right. It says "Road impassable when wet".
Now if that's not an invitation.......

On the way off Snowden Hill, we went down Courtney Rd to Hwy 14. This is a classic "you-gotta-stop-and-take-a-picture-corner" looking over the Columbia River and Hood River Valley

Another shot from there looking towards Mt. Hood:

Just another day in the Hood. Ya gotta love it!
