A Helmet Cam Tour Through Old St. John's (Newfoundland)
In the words of the great John Cleese..."And now for something completely different"...
Took a little 'happy hour' tour through old St. John's after work today. Here's some video still captures, and an HD video. I left the raw audio on the video clips, despite some extraneous noise... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks, that was great. What a great town. I especially like that road on the way back from the battery.

Nice video of one of my favorite places on earth. I've spent many days and nights in St John's and loved them all. I was flying with the USAF and it was our final stop in North America before crossing over to Europe and the Middle East.
I almost always stayed at the Delta with a great view of the harbor. The summer stays were great because the sun was up so long (and so were we!) and walking around the town was a treat. Interesting clubs and great food were just a short walk away. I've been to most of the places in the video. I always wanted a motorcycle to explore the surrounding countryside. Thanks for the rider-eye view! AZ

Thanks for the tour. I recently sent some parts to a KLX250 rider in St.John's. Out of curiosity, I Googled some street view of the town.
All the pastel colors that are so popular does give it a different feel compared to all the earthtones folks do around here. When I worked for an aircraft delivery company, all our shipments to Africa and Europe went through St.John's. I didn't realize it's half way to England out your way! |
