It was a great ride. Good to meet and ride with the Salem area folks. Many split ways after Wamic, but BrandonR and I returned to hiway 35 via Barlow trail again. I then hit Still Creek road down to Welches and then home.
Did 250 miles with 7 hours ride time. I need a better seat. Yes, it was a little warm, but not quite HOT yet. Thanks for setting this up Apple Jam, hope you have a good campout and get your bike sorted before the Squatch. Asrvivor, hope you can escape a full day next time. Tony |

Sounds good, but our ride was better!!
Luke, Loud Al and me could see some of the dust you guys were making on Barlow rd from the top of Triangle Butte out in Diamond Mill. Could see most of the rest of the known world too. The only other human that got close to our location was in an airplane.
L Al donated a turnsignal to the D Mill gods of the earth, we all rode some awesome single-track & elk trails, up hill, mountain and down dale. Butterflies and flowers up high, dust and heat down low. 2 smoking thru the woods is still a huge piece of freedom! Best part is we all got to go home in air conditioned comfort while we were thinking of you poor SOB's cooking in line on hwy 26 thru Sandy.

Great ride yesterday. Wish I could have ridden back up the trail, but had to be home for a wedding and then a 21st birthday party at Bushwhackers
asvivor, I will be out of town next weekend, and this week will probably be busy getting ready to leave. Maybe the following weekend we can get together and check it out. I don't know the area really good, but I have found at least one great power line road where there is a small pond similar to little crater lake, and an awesome very long hill climb with a nice twisty paved road back to the bottom. I would like to get over to the riding area over in Hood River too. ![]() Lot more logs in this one, but very clear water. Looks more impressive in person.

Anyone else the wife is going to NY for some training next saturday. So Sunday I am available for all day, can we plan something? Matt are you up what about Simeon? Ray, anyone? Little early to plan I know but not often I get whole weekend for bike. Could even go to beach house in yachts or clover dale and crash after sat then ride more Sunday. Yeah, I will let you all know when asrvivor and I get together and head that direction. We can either meet on this side and ride that way, or meet over there and ride back to this side.
Have to dug into that bike to see if you can see what is causing the problem? |

No, I'm afraid to I just loaded the bike onto my pickup to take home to my Garage tonight. It's been at my shop since I heard the dreaded "noise". I rode HORSES! the first half of the day Sunday, after hooking up with my neighbor for Saturday night's camping. Then I rode the old Shadow the long way home, and got home fairly late Sunday afternoon.
