Here are some pics of my fix:

The tape is temporary until I find something more permanent but you can't see it at all when wearing the helmet.

Perhaps a combo of the phat-mat and the wire would be the ticket. Phat-mat would hold the wire in place. Hmmm...

Not a bad idea. Maybe the permanent tape solution I've been looking for.

That's what I was thinking as well. Where did you find the 1mm aluminum stock?

Canadian Tire. You should be able to find them at any large hardware store. They had an assortment of thickness in aluminum rods and strips.

have to give props to Whitney and his "Phat Mat" solution. While it didn't completely eliminate the issue it reduced it enough to be liveable. Just completed a 4800 miles trip and never considered ditching the visor.

Thanks for hooking me up with the material.

I also put those little silicon bumpers used for sticking on the bottom on vases and whatnot available at Home Depot wedged between the visor and the helmet to create tension...

Yep, and putting the Dynamat from a stereo shop on the bottom of the "peak".
Works for me.

My issue now is my visor wont stay up for some reason. Screws are tight.
Think I will try putting some thin nylon washers under the little cover plates.

My visor worked fine for ages until I took it off and gave it a thorough cleaning. It was the dirt that was holding it up.

Yeah, same problem of face shield coming down on its own after cleaning.... and switching to tall Ztechnic V-screen shield.

Solved the visor auto-close feature by putting o-rings under mounting plate.

The tall shield reduced the sun visor vibrations somewhat, but increased buffeting/turbulence on top of helmet.

Switched back to stock windshield last week for warmer temps, man, I had forgotten just how bad the sun visor vibrates. Did not have this problem on KLR, but on the big GS Adventure, it is easy to SEE the vibration.

Give it more gas, if it doesn't solve the problem it will at least end the suspense.
