GoPro HD but I have to shoot at 720p as my computer won't handle the 1080p.
I don't have enough processing power.

If your computer has enough juice, you can use Windoze movie maker.
I use a permanent trial version of Sony Vegas Video as it has a few more options.

You'll likely get a better response (and not hijack the thread) if you ask this question over in Equipment. Also specify what you use: PC (Windows) or Mac or Linux.

I admit I'm a video noob also and simply play with iMovie on my Mac.

You can toggle HD on and off by clicking on HD, depending on how fast your computer is. The "four arrows" button between HD and the word Vimeo makes it full screen.
