Don't count yourself lucky yet. This one came to me 5 months after I got back.

We rented a villa near Florence last fall. I mostly rode the bike I keep in Milan but the other couple had their own car and drove a lot. My friend got two speed-cam tickets almost a year after the fact. $250 fines each for just going over a little. BTW, Tomtom has a current speed cam list for sale as well.

My advice (and I live here) just drive however you want to, pay attention to signs, and you'll be good to go. In 11 years of living here and riding my Ducati like I'm being chased by the devil himself, I've only ever had one speeding ticket. Funny thing about that, somehow they messed up and sent it to my wife, who doesnt have a motorcycle license and NEVER drives the Ducati! lol. Be safe, Good Luck and have fun!

Hi guys
the best resource for italian points of interest is:
http://www.poigps.com/

the problem is the site is just in Italian and you have to register and login to download the files.

If you need help, just ask!

Bye
Max

this is from the official garmin website...compiled list of speed cameras (same as on POIGPS) in .gpi format.

http://download.garmin.it/download/GPI_autovelox.zip

Not sure whether it is compatible with your Garmin V.
Alternatively I can share with you the POIGPS zip file in csv format (if that is the only compatible format for your GPS).
