Last sunday, I wanted to test my new mount for the gopro HD on the S10. So I decided to play the tourist thing in the empty Paris of august. If you follow me, you will visit : Rue de Rivoli : the Tuileries garden The Concorde square The Champs Elysées The Arc de Triomphe on the Charles de Gaulle square The Trocadero The Eiffel tower The Invalides The Bastille square The opera Garnier

Awesome vid! Fantastic bike in a fantastic city! Thanks! I predict our transatlantic friends will go nuts when they see the french traffic
Cool pics ... wow it looks quiet! Is that because of French holidays? I have ridden round Paris .. and it was mental - the Arc de Triomphe was crazy, like a giant fairground 'Dodgems ride' with cars arriving from all angles. ... I had to go round again it was so much fun!
Yes, Paris is empty of Parisians in august. There are more foreign tourists than French people, except one on his S10 !
Ah nice, at that Cafe on the corner my first driveshaft popped, rendering my beemer helpless Nice to see Paris again in such brilliant weather, though i miss the hussle and bustle around the Arc !
I say you predicted right about us tansatlantic friends. My first thought was "it's a free for all" and my second was " I want lane splitting!" Very cool video Olirider. I have some friends on facebook who would really enjoy it. Would you mind if I posted it to my profile?
Olirider tres tres cool! how come no windnoise? do you have an external mike? I didn't think any of these mountable cams had an external mike socket. Cheers and well done sir! Shane
No external mike. I just used the standard "open" gopro case. It is recommended for speed under 160 km/h (100 mph) and I was in town !
I miss lanesplitting. I hate having to wait my turn at red lights when there's all that space there For the still images you posted, are those just extracted from the video, or is it a seperate function of the GoPro? Nice bike by the way
I would not commute on a bike if I could not lane split : What would be the point ? In fact lanesplitting is officially forbidden in France but if you are sensible enough you can do it in front of police officers and get no trouble.
