The Ride of the April Fools

The Plan: Meet at the Eastland Park Hotel between 3 and 5 pm on Friday, April 1st. Eat somwhere in Portland's Old Port, then drink to excess at the penthouse bar back at the hotel. Ride on Saturday if weather permits. Click on "Reservations" at the above link and scroll down to find the "cabin fever" rate of $99 for a wicked shahp room, free undergound parking for the bikes, continental breakfast, and an LL Bean gift certificate.

Who's In: A host of advrider dignitaries and Ewan MacGregor and Charlie Boorman will be delivering a talk about their RTW trip to a bunch of other people somewhere else in the world, but will be there in spirit. CroMag has agreed to perform some Gregorian Chants for us.

Won't it be Cold?: Of course. What do you care? You are strong and everyone else is weak.

Hate to miss it, but.....

Gee, I am going to be in Georgia then. Temps are really getting good and the most likely "weather events" would involve some showers that will make the dogwoods and azealias bloom. Talked it over with the KLR and it said it' s feelings would not be hurt one bit riding down there on the trailer, just as long as I take it to DEAL'S GAP.
Tip a frosty one for me and think of me in my weakness, riding in sunny places.
OK, no crap about trailers....been done enough.

I'd be in, but it'd have to be the next weekend, April 9th. I don't have my bikes out yet, and I have a conflict with this weekend.

Anyone else for the 9th?

I thought maybe it would be a good idea to cross-post this thread, or more specifically, this post, which cancels/postpones the event due to weathah.
