Looks like I'm a Card Carrying Sunday Rider
Not sure how it happened, but it occurs to me that somewhere along the way I became a Sunday rider. I like to blame work and daddy commitments, but if that's the case, why aren't I wealthier and why is my daughters room still not decorated and baby friendly 13 months after she was born?
Anyways, I had my KLR in bits over the winter and only got it back together a couple of weeks ago. I managed to get a brief window of free time this Sunday to test the new shock absorber on a little localish run. ![]() Back in time to make dinner, feed the baby unit, and settle down a an evening of catching up on some work. Rock n' Roll and all that. |

Fantastic pictures! I assume these were in Scotland from your profile. We have talked about going there one day ourselves.

Some beautiful "local'ish" area there!!
![]() Not to worry about the Sunday riding. When you have itty bitty kids - they have a way of becoming the center of your universe, just to watch them grow! You're a lucky man so enjoy them while they're little. The rooms get finished / cleaned - or not. Then they'll need changing and cleaning again (just like the kids, only less important ).I'm glad you got some time for yourself. That is important, too. A well-balanced, happy Dad is a better father. What beautiful country you live in. I'm sure you'll have many hours of enjoyment in it with the little 'un also. There are so many different "stages" to our lives. Enjoy each and every one, and in no time you'll find yourself doing what you want, including riding more if that is your goal!

Great pics. Thanks for sharing them.
I used to work a 6 day workweek...did it for a long time...and got used to just making daytrips and short loops. We just get to make the best of the time we have available.

More of my preconceived notions challenged. I thought Scotland was all green rolling hills.
Nice pictures. |

Perfect post for the new Day Trippin' thread. Short n' very sweet
Nice job on the post-production too! Subtle. Say, is the KLR a rare beast in the motherland? Was it officially sold in Scotland?
