A Nice Sandy Day In The NJ Pine Barrens
Dwayne and I met up with Kris at the Ranger Station Atison at 10:30ish.........Dwayne and I were on the TW-200s and Kris is on the DRZ-400

While Dwayne and I come down here every other week, Kris lives down here. After a brief introduction (We are meeting Kris for the first time) and discussion of the direction of the ride we head off to Bastos village as we have never actually been there..Kris warns us that it's going to be sandy...I silently laugh to myself (when is it not?). But it did seem sandier than usual as they had no real rain here in weeks.

Dwayne's tire pressure need to be lowered as he struggled in the deep white stuff. Kris learned rule number one of sand riding well: Go fast. He's only riding down here a couple months but moves very well down the sandy trails on his DRZ

I'm not sure what happened with Bastos Village. We still never made it. Next stop, the Fire Tower! We've seen this from a distance but now Kris shows us a trail right to it.
