NSW Sidecar and Enthusiasts Rally 2010

Held on the Bridle Track north of Bathurst as usual.

The site is a roadside campsite on an old road with some convict history, largely disused now except by off roaders, dirt bikers and fishermen due to the fact its a bit rough. The campsite sits on a river thats been a trickle the last few yeats but after lots of recent rain its flowing fast.

Lots of small streams cross under the track to get to the river

We camped up top away from the main site out of my clubs habit, "Sidecar Heights"

Heaps of dogs in attendance the 3 white ones here are mine, so is the red sidecar in the background. We were there on Friday had a good night.

Saturday they rolled in.

Vince: XJR1300/LH sidecar

PJ or Grandad from Gladstone South Australia; K1100 and homebuilt travelling rig, accompanied by Smeghead the dog. They got the award for longest distance sidecar. The mud is from being stuck in the mud on a service track beside a railway line on the ride over.

Ian and Jenny on the new Ural

This old girl from Dubbo was already there.

Pogo and Jolene(The GTR)

This shopping trolley won the best engineered award because it is very well thought out.

Both Saturday and Sunday morning were foggy. This is Sundays foggy breakfast.

Al

And the award goes to

Phil Duffy

And so authentic that he even has the recycling bags in the trolley

Glad to see all had a good time. Phil and the shopping trolley stopped by on his way home. Got a rally report over a cuppa and then Phil and Russell were off home. Hope to catch up as soon as my foot gets better.

I see the pics of the shopping trolley chair, but Al's initial post looks like it should have pics and I can't see any. Is it my browser settings or is something actually wrong with the post?

I logged in using IE instead of FF and all the pics are there now, but Firefox still refuses to display them.

Was a very relaxing rally, as ever. Many of the SSC participants of 10 or more years ago were absent, except for Adrian.

LeighSA and I spent Sunday laying back & taking it easy, with the couple who had the HD trike and DR, plus their son and the pug dog.

I'm trying to catch up with photos & we ended up on a bit of a jaunt, so I may do something in addition, but later.
