Just looked up my vin
Built 11/1985 The title lists it as an 86 I reckon I should be looking for parts etc as an 85 right? |

I'm 99% certain that your 11/85 bike is a certifiable 1986 model. My 88 GS was made on Dec 9th, 1987 (and there wasn't a 1987 GS). Plus, I don't think that BMW could get away with assigning a new model year based on when it was delivered into the 80s (like they did in the 70s).

Filter?
You mean my R100GS has a filter? I'm pretty sure Ted put a new one in a couple of years back but dagnabbit I've plain forgot all about it. I change the oil every 4 months (200-300 miles) but the filter? It's on the right side, right?
