Day Trippin' Arkansas style

Hey everyone,

This is my first ride report so be gentle.

I realized this week that I hadn't been to North Arkansas in quite a while and decided to head that way on Saturday. We left at 7:30 in the morning and it was a blistering 41*. I bundled up and we headed out with a destination of Mountain View and Push Mountain. The first 100 miles or so sucks because it is all flat and straight so I'll bore you with the details.

OMG A harley rider full ATGATT.....who'd a thunk it. lol

We first hit a small motorcycle trinket shop outside of Mountain View: Drasco trading post.

Started up Hwy 5 towards mountain view and the hills started rolling and bikes started leaning. WAHOO

We stopped and ate lunch(forget the name of the place) then headed for Push Mountain.

Stopped at a lookout to take a couple of pics:

Stopped in a small town for a coke and a smile.

We decided it was time to start heading home so we ran back through Push Mtn and I took a bunch of pics along the way.

lots of curves like this one

lots of long sweepers

the incline that some of these turns were on just aren't served justice by the pics

So we headed back down Hwy 14 towards Bald Knob Ar to eat at a restaurant "Who Dat's" and their food is absolutely to DIE for. If you are ever in the area you really owe it to yourself to check them out.

Overall it was a ~500 mile day and it was probably one of the top ten riding days I have ever had. I have already made plans to return next weekend and am planning on camping out(my first on a motorcycle) with my son. We were about a week or two too early for the leaves to change. Hopefully it'll really be showing next weekend.

Thanks for taking the time to do this post, that's a great ride. That little bike outpost near Drasco is great. I was in Greers Ferry with the wife this weekend in the cage and came by there today longing to be on the FJR.

Great pix, thanks or making it real.

The biker shop in Drasco is also one of my must do stops every time I go to Mountain View, which is often.

I like that yellow Harley.
