Four Mile Canyon Fire

The outcome from the wild fire that claimed 166 homes in Four Mile Cyn above Boulder can now be seen by outsiders. What a tragedy! It's hard to imagine, really. Took these last week and could not believe it. Some homes are just gone, while others are still there, within 200 ft. Fortunately, the historic town of Gold Hill was pretty much saved, probably by the incredible efforts of the firefighters. Anyway, these few pics can't come close to communicating what it's like.

Campers: make f*&^%#g sure your fire is Dead Out!

Fire and those pesky bugs that destroy entire forests are the greatest dangers to the beauty of Co.
