Boy that was a scowl I had on my face while gassing up! I really wasn't angry. Just caught me with wrong expression on my face. Great pics though!

Looks like fun....

?!An RWC inspired ride and no broken bones or bikes?! Great pics Jason, but then you've got superlative scenery to work with on that route. Thanks for posting this, dd

Jason,
Fantastic writing, outstanding photos. As someone just getting involved in photography, how do you pack a DSLR on the dual sport? I am nervous of carrying my Canon on my KTM when exploring the back woods, so I opt for a small point and shoot, and thus, my photos suffer.

Tank bag with a couple of those padded, velcro tipped inserts from a regular camera bag for extra protection and compartments. Having it there also lets me shoot on the run. I just leave the bag sitting open when that's my plan. A prime motivation (camera nerd pun) for going to small manual focus lenses was so they would fit in that tank bag.

Me too. Would have enjoyed finally meeting you and sharing some photo ops.

I don't think it's a large part of the equation but: Nikon D700.

Our nine year old had a section about the moon at school. He taught me "gibbous" a few weeks ago. I've just been waiting to get it in somewhere.

About done. Didn't you shoot some video?
Sorry, I didn't end up shooting any video.

Jason,

I know it's been said but your photograhs are fantastic. You should display at Art in the Park.

Thanks very much.

Jason ; Thanks for the report ! You Sir , seem to have a bit of talent with both writing and the image box . With your excellent photos it makes it much easier to insert ones self into the story . Looks like a great ride with good friends . Have you been out getting some shots for "fall colors" thread ? Every year around my area , I go out several times . A little too early , then almost there . Then it rains and blows for a week and no leaves left on trees . Hope to see more reports from you in the future . Thanks again !
