Yep....and the hyperpro springs and 15-tooth sprocket have helped, but I'm going to try the G2 throttle tamer.

top clamp bolt pattern dimensions
What is the appropriate dimensions of the bolt pattern for the HDB top clamp that mates withe scotts risers? I am planning on ordering the scotts stabilizer and HDB hand guards but do not know what dimension to order for the top clamp. Any one who has the HDB and scotts please post the dimensions. I think they should be etched into the HDB top clamp.
thanks in advance |

Just do do it!
To quote bartron.
" just did this install a little while ago. You have to trim/sand/grind about 1/8 of an inch from the black plastic part of the faux tank in order to accommodate the torx security bolts that hold the ignition as those bolts secure the pin for the stabilizer. No welding necessary. Doesn't take long and the alteration is hard to see if you are not looking for it." This is the same actions needed to fit the Ralleye Moto Steering Damper. Don't be afraid to take to the plastic with a small grinder, which ever damper you choose, the result is worth far more then the $$ you have outlayed. Every person that takes a F800GS off road should have a damper of some brand. makes the ride %100 better Cheers from someone that has one. |
