Az, Father & son on a rough ride...
I don't what i did but dad wanted to punish me by taking me on one of z roughest terrains in Az rugged mountains trails.
DR650SEddy on DRZ400E, AZ Tom on WR250R . We met @ 8:30am on z exit of I-17 & Ducas Rd, waited for 15-20min for Ed to show up on his supa dupa XR440R, but he didn't so we took off without him (sorry Ed). Dugas rd to fr68 is so cool even with its rocky uphill it was fun for morning wake up work out. Dad on WR250R . ![]() ![]() ![]() By z time we started z downhill from Dugas to 57 that's it no turning back, u got what u deserve so deal with it ...![]() Z sceneries definitly worth z efforts. Az Tom -Dad- making his approch with care no margin for errors here as u can seee. ![]() There was a steep pass right after that pic. oh man it looks more like a pro hiking trail . More pics. coming up. |

.![]() Someone miscalculated z amount of alchohol in their beers and made out of that vehicule a target practice . ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Right before z intersection of Child power rd & 57 we stopped for a power bars break. ![]() ![]() Stay tune for more . 57 was so tricky, challenging as well in some unexpected moment. So don't put ur guard down not just yet.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Az Tom went sideways but quicly recovered z situation . ![]() We end up taking a quick break in that shady spot, and a creek passes throu it . ![]() On our way to FR16A which is still rough in some spots. ![]() Down to Bloody Basin rd. ![]() ![]() Last gate to cross. ![]() It's too bad there is some spots where z trails looks like walls & i couldn't take any picture it was even difficult to park z bike. |

I am Z classic snowbird about Feb 2011. My old KTM 950 is in Cave Creek right now. I think I should sell that big thing and buy a wr250r so i can try some of your loops. Maybe even mor far ranging then that. What do Z think?
BTW, Z rock sections would have kicked Z ass if Z were miles long. Are they long? Thanks for post.

Good report from you both.
Those are some long rocky sections and I remember them well. It will be fun to ride them again soon.
