Talladega National Forest Ride DR Style
DR 650 and DRZ 400 that is!
Me and Coonass35 met up to do a bit of Forest Service road exploring in the Talladega National Forest near Cleburne, AL. coonass35 doing his best Jesse James impression: ![]() We rode up FS500 for a bit, enjoying the smooth gravel-over-hardpack road: ![]() We visited the Cole Cemetery, many graves from the 1800's: ![]() ![]() Checked out the ![]() ![]() ![]() A lunch stop at Coleman Lake. No pictures of the food, after all a PBJ isn't that exciting, just good and filling! But the Rec Area is very nice. ![]() ![]() ![]() The mighty DR's ![]() Iron City Motorway ![]() ![]() Back out to FS500, time to head home. ![]() ![]() ![]() A good day's ride with near perfect weather!

Looks just like here except our FS roads are 6" deep gravel.
