Must be nice to have a gen that will power both beams at once! The KLR LED goes RED when I hit the passing switch

Have you changed out the brake, running and turn signals for LED's?

I got one of those convulsion inducing stroboscopic LED brakelights, but the turn signals are still rusty ol bulbs. And it decided to quit blinkin when making right turns. Gotta NASCAR it and only make left turns

I'm gonna duct tape my votl/ohm meter to the handlebars and see what the thing is putting out when the led turns colors. Might be the LED voltage indicator, prolly not though. My bike got too close to Charlies at the last SLAP and got some sicktrons running through it now I think.

I got your "sicktrons". Mike take a bulb out of the signals, go to Auto Zone and get the Led replacements. They only sell the plug and play kind and are a lot brighter and save watts/amps. I replaced my rear ones I think it was $4.50 a bulb. I put GSXR flat LEDs on the front and secured then on the cowling on either side of the headlight. Works great.

Are turn signals required in Texas? I've never seen em used..... just sayin.

I think the direction the truck nuts are swinging indicates an upcoming turn.

Normally they swing opposite the way I'm turning though.......just sayin.

At least for my annual safety inspection which is due this month, they are. I'll try jumping a curb and see if they start working again

You can keep the rest of those sicktrons Charlie! I got enough! The time my voltmeter LED goes red is when the rad fan is on and I'm idling for a bit with my lights on. I just turn the headlight off till the light turns green. I'm idling around 16-1800 rpm so it's not from a low idle. The LED goes orange when I get above 3K rpm and I don't have a clue if that's too high or too low on the voltz either.

The led signal bulbs sound like a great idea. My old bulbs are rusted in place. Prolly ought to stop letting the pig waller in the river crossings........

Mike, the next time your in that situation instead of turning off your headlight try releasing your brakes. The tail light with brake light uses almost as much power as the headlight.

I do dat an it still goes red. I'll put my fluke80 on the thing and figger it out.

I guess I'm old school since I've got a Fluke 70. And those corroded turn signal bulbs can draw current too. Unplug one and watch your fluke.

I tried to get a 70 back in my Air Force days. I got a couple for the shop supervisor, then the bastid wouldn't let me get one for myself....

Needed the 80 to set rotary inverters in an old GII I used to fly/wrench on. Thank you Philadelphia Eagles Football Club for giving me my Fluke!
