I hope soon can go to Yucatan and ride the Sac Beh's route you did. That was awesome, the way you did compare your pics against the Stephens/Catherwood book map. Arte |

So, after the great breakfast, we started going to the ANCON Water fall, which was just above 300 m of Mr Juan House.
if you look around the semi dry mountains, you would never expect to find this kind of vegetation, just right above the road. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() there are even Banana Palms!! ![]() getting some nuts ![]() The main waterfall was little more above but we got tired (too much food?) and decided to get back, since we had still long way to ride yet. but is really worth to go up ther in other ocassion. coming back in the mountains in the other side of the canyo, is the famous Window. this is a regular sight view ![]() This is a close up (downloaded from google, since my camera has no enough zoom) ![]() other local shack ![]() ![]() We thanked to Mr. Juan and his son (yellow shirt) and asked how much was for the breakfast. He said: Whatever is your will for the cook. ![]() a look of the cascade from the road. at the center far away. (sorry no zoom) ![]() next going to Los Lirios

There are several creeks in Mexico that have trouts and other types of fish, but not sure if on this one. Other river that is very close to the border, has several type of fish is the SOTO LA MARINA river we have camped there and fished river lobster, is very good!! just flash a lantern to the water (at night) and get them with a pointy rod. very easy and fun. |

After take this new route, the road became little more full of loose small gravel, and on one slope, all I can see is Andres Dancing Tango with his bike:
![]() ![]() this is the last picture my camera took, after the pic, I jumped to help Andres, and did not turned off the camera, so the zoom lens were open, and at the time to lift the bike, I did crushed the lens against my chest and the bike. ![]() this one was taken with Ricardo's ![]() and the next ones are from Ricardo's camera, I borrowed to him to try to keep the report, but unfortunately very long after, so I missed severa wonderful views when we climbed to some high altitudes and the forrest started to show up, several trees, a very pleasant smelling of the pines. so here are the last pics of this great short ride: ![]() ![]() ![]() getting to los Lirios, my face all dusted ![]() ![]() a short break to revise the oil level of my thirsty bike. ![]() here we stoped for a while, since Andre's bike needed some chain adjustment. And in the mean time we met the owner of the house and we got an invitation to stay the next time we were around. Very nice people. ![]() ![]() ![]() so that was it. there are more pics from Pilot's camera, probably he wants to upload them later. Thanks for reading. |
