Motorcycle Rental in San Miguel de Allende

Relaxing in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. Beautiful weather. Beautiful scenery. While there are many places to rent scooters and quads, finding a proper 2 wheeled motorcycle is a challenge. The posts here on the site seem to be out of date. So here is an update.

Motos y Mas is apparently out of business. Instead I rented from the local Honda dealer. The person to talk to is Rodrigo Flores King. His email address is rofloki@yahoo.com. I do not think the dealership does many rentals and Rodrigo did a great job of making everything happen.

I rented a Honda CRF 450 X. The bike was well worn, but ran great. The price was a bit high at 1890 Mexican Pesos for 24 hours. (approx $153) The selection of gear is not so great. I recommend bringing gloves, helmet, etc.

Good to know. Where did you go ride it ? I notice it's not street legal.

Where to Ride in San Miguel de Allende

Despite not being street legal, I rode the bike on and off road. The dealer informed me that there is an enduro course south of town, but I mostly wanted to see the region a bit.

San Miguel -> Guanajuato -> Dolores Hidalgo -> San Miguel

My method was to ride a bit on the road and simply turn off when I saw an interesting dirt road or trail. My only concern was range. There are not many stations away from the big towns.

I'm a bit familiar with the area. I've been there three times (once on my R1150R) Lots of interesting places around there.
