Route info / Things not to miss?

I'm heading down to Sparta Tn. (Close to Knoxville) on the 27th, are there any must see / must ride suggestions?

Then it's down the TAT to the Missisippi state line on Saturday and Sunday, back home to nurse the saddle sores for two days and then off to BYOB. If anybody wants to make the TAT ride, we'll be leaving from the Sparta Walmart parking lot Sat. morning.

Well, Deals Gap is only an hour south of Knoxville, and that whole section of NC is worthy of a trip of its own. But then living where you do you are close to that area and probably know that already.

Actually no, I don't get down that way too much anymore and all my previous trips were when I was in the service so I didn't have much time to stop and explore.

Most of my riding now is confined to close to home, but there's a pile of FS roads in the area that I still haven't check out. I'm trying to get in some longer trips this year but family and work take up alot of my time.

Thanks for the help

Thanks

I've been trying to get a good TN map but no luck so far. I'm almost ready to just head south and west and see where I end up.

going thru Bristol, VA/TN, on I-81, a mile or so south of the state line is a TN welcome center. you can pick up free TN maps there. then you can get back on 58

Yep there is some great riding in that area. Here's some pics from last year.

I can pick up standard road maps somewhere around here, but I've been trying to get ahold of the DeLORME A&G for TN. May have to wait until I get in the state to find one.
