Wildcat is probably my favorite too. It was better before they closed the area north of Bartlett road and made it questionable whether the area all the way to Pima & Dynamite was open. I've been trying to warm up to Sycamore for those reasons.

I'd hate to find out they have closed Pima and Dynamite. I grew up riding that route out to Bartlett Lake Road back in the '80s. In 1985 I used to ride that route daily and had got to the point that I knew it well enough to have a 65 mph average speed through there on my XL350R. I really enjoyed running against the stopwatch. The last time I rode there was back in 2005 during a visit, though at a much slower pace.

What he said, + Many! I dumped my CT-1 under a staghorn cholla once. It was about 110 degrees out and my jeans were stapled to my right leg with all the old, dead cholla. Had to push the bike about a half mile back to the house with sweat running down my leg. Ended up soaking in the bathtub with a pair of pliers to pull the majority of the thorns out before I could remove my jeans and finish the job.

By all means, they should be avoided whenever possible.

I took a client out mountain biking once and he did a head first into a teddy bear cholla. That was bad. Really, really bad.
