Offroad riding info for Virginia Beach area

Greetings inmates!

The family and I will be heading down to Virginia Beach for the annual family trip. We stay at First Landing State Park.

Are there any good offroad riding areas nearby? I'm trying to determine whether it would be worth taking my bike down with me for some offroad adventures?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ed

Simply... No. You are entering paved metropolis.

There are some dirt section in VB, but they are very short, and hidden, and probably private.

You CAN ride your bike on the beach in N.C.

Slades Park near Surry is out of town quite a ways, is a riding area. Best to enjoy VB for what it is. Family time.

That's kinda what I figured. Just thought I'd see if maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. Been going down there since 1996 or so......don't ever remember seeing much offroad possibilities.

Thanks.

If you just have to ride you can head south to Kitty Hawk and then back north through Corolla, Carova and all the way to the NC/Va line along the beach.
