Hmmm......400 + miles at 21 degrees is a mighty chilly ride. My hat's off to ya.

Mind if I ask you for a rundown of your protective gear? I commute 40 miles one way regularily down to about 25 but can't seem to keep my hands warm even with GS heated grips. What's your secret?

An Aerostich Roadcrafter, winter gloves and liners, riding pants and long johns, two pairs of wool socks under my snow sealed riding boots, two microfiber thermal undershirts shirts under a microfleece pullover, a down parka and a full face hood under my full face helmet. Plus a heated seat and heated hand grips

Most of the top layers came off the at ("near" is more correct) the cathouse. I would hate to have to do that at work.

l think desert lobsters are scorpions.

Try the rocky mountain oysters if you get the chance. They may taste a little more like clam than oysters though.

I'm a Nevada boy. RMO's and were a staple at the Basque resturants up North. Now turkey balls are another thing, got those à la carte at a ski lodge near Reno.

Only bit by scorpions.
