The latest "crop" of Rallye Husaberg's... "lite version"
Team KEVA MOTOR Sweden has just finished the latest two additions to the Husaberg Rallye family;
http://www.kevamotor.se/tuareg/index.htm ![]() Based on 2011 model FE450's the two "rallye lite" bikes have been built for team riders; Kent Turesson and Martin Jernse to ride in the 2011 TUAREG Rallye in Marocco. http://tuareg-rallye.com/ ![]() A very BIG Husaberg "tack" must go to Garry Connell (SafariBerg) at Husaberg Rallye Racing Australia for all his help in the spec' and prep of these bikes. Six months planning... then just one week to literally bolt together these two bikes, with tested proven products from FORCE Accessories, Aqualine Safari tanks and 70 Degree Racing. A simpler, less fuss free rally bike build have I never experienced... thanks to all involved! Husaberg FE450 "Rallye lite" build thread here:

Looks like a nice little set up Troy! More and more Husa's show up in these type of Rallyes.
I know of at least 1 guy too that does Libya with a FE450. Lovely bikes to see and many more accesories (tanks etc) available then for my poor little Aprilia RXV

HUSABERG FE450 "Rallye lite" build thread...
The facts, just the facts... and nothing but the facts...
![]() In february 2010, Kent Turesson of KEVA MOTOR AB in Hässleholm Sweden asked me if I would mind helping him put a two rider effort together to compete in the 2011 TUAREG Rallye in Marocco; http://tuareg-rallye.com/ KEVA MOTOR is the agent for Husaberg and so obviously the choice was to use a pair of FE 450's for the job... Two riders are to compete at the Rally; Kent Turesson and Martin Jernse... with your's truly driving the team's IVECO service bus on the rally as mechanic/support. A series of phone calls and e-mails made to Husaberg Rally guru Garry connell; SafariBerg and quickly confirmed what I thought... there were plenty of tested and proven aftermarket tanks and rally accessories available for the Berg's (thank's largely to the Husaberg Australia team's close relationship with companies like FORCE Accessories, Safari Aqualine etc. over the teams Australasian Safari and DAKAR efforts), so no need to "re-invent the wheel" as so many make the time consuming misstake of doing. In march, Garry dispatched a list of EVERYTHING we needed... and we began the process of deciding what we wanted to use on the TUAREG 450's (the rally dictates only a maximum of 160 km's fuel range). Most of the choices were made based on Garry's teams familiarity with the new generation Berg's from the Safari in 2009 and 2010, and KEVA's own experience with the FE models in competition here in Sweden... then it was just get on the computer and order the neccessary bits! By the end of summer we had most of the stuff ordered and the plan began to take shape. ![]() Then... we did nothing. Didn't need to... Knowing that Garry and the team in Oz had done a lot of the R&D work for most of the package over the 18 months prior or so, made the whole process a lot more relaxed. We decided to spend our time riding and preparing mentally, instead of endless nights in the workshop. ![]() By late November/early December all the bits were in the workshop and the delivery of two new 2011 model Husaberg FE450's had arrived at KEVA MOTOR. ...and that my friends was what led to this; ![]() HUSABERG FE450 "Rallye lite" build ![]()

Looking very good!
I was wondering about a few things; Did you strenghten the roadbook frame? Due to vibration of the ICO and the 'leverage' many of them crack.. Do you really require 2 fans? Might be a drain on the system? Upgraded the battery?

For those who want to do a real rally build (wink wink, Troy!
We will be having two Bergs in the Tuareg using these frame brackets and our nav towers. One of which will be using our complete Husaberg race kit with lightened nav tower and our new fairing. (<3kg in total). Pics will follow.. |

Haven't calculated the retail price, but as we try to keep prices to a minimum my guess would be around $100-130. The sides are constructed from 6082-T6 and the mounts are polished Alumec. The front mounts feature countersunk Allen bolts to adjust the tension against the steering head for a tight fit. |

Do you know if this will fit the newer generation (08+) KTM frames? I would be very interested in one of those, as I am sure a lot of other people.
