We had thought about it, but I wanted to get off the mountain before dark, and storms were rolling in.

Great Ride. Yankee Doodle was a fun trail with some challenges. After being denied on some other challenging trails like Lane and Tiptop Im glad to claim victory here. Weather was great up there, on the back noticed it was 75 degrees at sunset point and 45 minutes later 110 in phx. ouch. Most of my pic's are the same. I got a few of the NS

^^ notice NS napping

I do indeed! I've been prioritizing finding a job instead of sifting through the thousands of pictures and writing down all of the details of the rides from the past few months. Shame on me!

Wish I would have joined you guys on this ride. I'd like to run the Yankee Doodle trail again. It has been several years since I've been on that trail.

Hi Guys, I am not a DS rider but this thread and others keep showing up on my Google search. I recently bought a place in Breezy Pines and dont want to miss out on any rides right in my back yard. Even in January a few guys have rode by while I have a paint brush in my hand instead of the throttle. The last time I rode in the area was as a kid on my '75 XR75. Itching to get out on the KTM with those that know places I dont and maybe show some that I do.
We are at our place most every weekend and have room to unload and park in a safe spot for those interested. Please shoot an email if You're willing to take a new guy. New to the group, not the bike.
Thanks, Dustin
