Stock tool bag, plus
Digital tire pressure guage 4 way screwdriver Thickness guages I also keep some fuses and bulbs in a custom cut chunk of foam that lives in the main backbone tube. After looking at what other people carry, I'm going to add the 90 degree tire valve extender. Squish, why do you not use the tool box? My /5 box is fine with 37 years and 200k plus, and my '95 PD box is fine at 70,000 miles. I agree about the sidecovers though. My RS sidecovers will reside on a shelf until I decide to sell it.

Spare fuses and light bulbs in the headlight bucket where they won't get broken.

I just thought they were kind of frail and poorly designed. It never dawned on me that I was putting too much stuff in it. I mean theoretically, you should be able to fill it to the top with whatever, and it won't break, right? I sometimes forget BMW's mantra that "whenever something goes wrong on a BMW, it is the user's fault and in no way reflects on the design of the machine".
(smilie added to denote sarcasm)

I finally got my pile weighed (see picture above), its right at 6.5 pounds.
I also started looking around for replacement tool trays, they are 40-80 on ebay. But Huckys has them for $34 new. Not a bad price.
