No but I know the one you are talking about. I think he wants too much for it.

Thumbs down Indicators... well I can't just keep turning right can I?

Hmmm, the indicator switch in the left hand switchgear on the STD1 has failed mid journey, like they sometimes do. And after all it is 25 years old, the poor thing.

The particular way it broke meant that the right hand indicators were on all the time. I was in a bit of a rush so the fastest thing to do was to pull the lower fuse in the little fuse box under the underseat tool tray*. Unfortunately this also means you lose the brake light & horn & whatever else runs through that fuse. But as a momentary solution it got me to where I had to be by the time I had to be there.

After a brief fiddle just now I've solved it for the moment by pulling the indicator relay, which is under the rear right of the tank on this variation, but the issue still remains as while the horn & brake light etc. work again with the reinsertion of the fuse, I've now got no indicators. It's the switch itself that's borked so I'll have to see if I can a) repair it, b) get a new unit to insert, or 3) replace the entire switchgear on the left hand grip** A switch repair or replacement is a bit of a pain to do due to the way the indicator toggle switch is housed within the pressed plastic unit inside, but it'll be the cheapest way to go
unless I can get a cheap or free L/hand switchgear. Pretty please?

Also - Please send Spanish harlots pronto, or at least Christina Ricci. This won't help with the indicators n shit, but believe me it'll help

* It's an '85 don't forget, which has relocated relays & fuses. If the fuses were still in the headlight that would be a nightmare with the RT fairing etc. I can see why people modify it to relocate the fuses on the earlier model, which I seem to recall had been done on DBDs first donor bike?
** This looks the most likely to me I must say.

Of course if I were riding this road, wouldn't need indicators -

Frankly I can't wait to get DMW running again, not least because (for the year) the MOT doesn't insist on blinkers, so it has none, and if it has none then they can't break* If they're fitted they must work, and if the rider cannot see the blinkers themselves (as I can't on the RT) then it must have a dashlight to tell you they're on, or an indicator relay buzzer. Anyway, with cash as it is it'll be at least a month until a swap-over is possible.

* A fine example of 'Nothing Cannot Be Destroyed'.

Obviously no one likes to see a racer suffer serious injury, however Kubicas has a particular bitter taste to it because he was lined up to drive the 'Lotus' Renault, which has a neat exhaust trick which exits the exhaust at the front of the side pod and effects air pressure over & under the entire underside of the sidepod floor & single deck diffuser* in a similar way to a blown diffuser, but over a much larger area. Of course pre season testing times are always pretty meaningless, however this innovation could potentialy produce a major benefit until all the others catch up, and Kubica could have seen himself in a winning chassis, as he ended the first test on top. Were I the team principle at 'Lotus' Renault (I'm not) I'd be looking at Hulkenbergs release trigger on his Force India testing contract, though it's said that existing 'Lotus' Renault reserve driver Bruno Senninha may have a first dibs on any spare seat written into his contract due to him bringing finance in...

Laugh

In other 'news' Asstrail is looking to sell off roughly 1.75 CX500s. He's looking at a somewhat (incredibly) optomistic 350 (no, that's not 3.50) though he says he'd take 200 at a push. Still incredibly over priced as they are in a very similar condition to the attached -

Tell him i'll give him the full asking price of 3.50 only if the plastic pig is in on the deal with a full tank of 95 ron unleaded ;-)

Ah, but that suggestion is based on reason, and we all know that never penetrates the A zone :-D

isn't actually actual, but more semi non actuating acting about actually being active in a actual state. Thus making an accelarating action with a acurate actually acting act.
