Atlanta to Baltimore Backroads

Hey you FF's

I'm heading out of Atlanta tomorrow night and don't have to be in Baltimore till Tuesday Morning. Plenty of time to cover that distance, so I wanna smell some roses and what not instead of the usual WFO slab touring. I've got the GA, TN, NC sections covered, but I'm looking for some input for WV & MD. Any mentionable dirt roads that climb mountains, or cross rivers? The more adventuresque the better. What other must do's are in your neck of the woods?

Thanks in advance

Hwy 42 runs from SW VA up to Front Royal area paralleling I-81 for the most part. There are some breaks but they can all be covered on 600 and 700 series roads. This is a great corridor and you can make decent time and the scenery is awesome. Farms, mtns, hills, cows.
