I was assured yesterday they would offer the rear in a 140.
![]() I have a set unofficially ordered. I will be sure to post a picture or three.

Trail Tricks has the 150/70/17 in stock, I looked at it and it seemed very stiff? I should have compared them to the Mefo's. Any info on what kind of mileage one will get out of them?

Reference post #29.
More time needs to pass before people will be able to post accurate results on mileage. Far too early in the game to tell. |

So I got my Big Block rear in... and holy crap.. you guys aren't kidding this thing has a rock hard carcass. It's like a run-flat car tire. I can put all my weight on it and it barely deforms. I was able to snap a pics of the Big Block, the TKC 150 mounted on the wife's F8GS and the K60 140 on the rear of mine. The TKC has about 3,500 miles on it and my K60 is sporting over 8,500. Both are pretty square.
![]() It's hard to tell from this picture but the BB is about 3/8" wider than the TKC, though the BB is unmounted. I'm curious to see what the measurement it once it's mounted. There shouldn't be any clearance issues with the BB. Tread depth at the center of the BB is .4425" and I'll do my best to document it every 500 miles or so and I'll post up the results. I'm really curious to see if the tire carcass breaks in and becomes more pliable or if will continue to stay rock hard. Tire flex generates heat which also accelerates tire wear but a balance must be struck to have decent traction. Only time will tell.

Nice work MonsterJ.
Thanks for the updates. That BB looks really interesting if it can outlast a TKC80. Interested to know if it's a bitch to mount... |

It is, I just put them on today. Got the tire hot, lots of lube, and levered it on. Needed a couple of clamps to keep the bead down in the center of the opposite side, and wifey helping with a 3rd lever, but success!

New Tires
Tomorrow Trail Tricks will be mounting a pair of Kenda Big Blocks on my scoot. Should open up access to a lot more trails. Very good price for the pair mounted and balanced.

Thanks for taking the time to share the photos. They look good mounted up. Keep us updated with your thoughts on the performance and mileage. Of course if you were down here in Florida we'd already have that report ...

Yeah, keep us posted with mileage on the F800GS. The big fat guys (joking...kind of true though
) over in the "boxers" forum with lots of weight and power are claiming to rip through these things in no time. I hope that's not the case. Hopefully it's just a case of being throttle-happy, beer-bellied, and over-loaded.
