A quick winter check of the Chicago harbors

I went to run some errands to day on the bike and took the long way. Some pics of some of the Chicago harbors.

DuSable Harbor and Navy Pier.

Belmont Harbor is covered in ice.

This side of Belmont Harbor has ice - and more snow.

Montrose harbor had crazy people out ice fishing. Belmont harbor did too, I just didn't get them in the picture.

Coming out to this side of Montrose harbor was a dumb idea and I knew it when I turned down this street as it was not really plowed other than by cars. Yes, I dumped it when I got caught in an ice rut at 3mph or so. No damage except a Jessy bag scraped. The picture I took of it down was just a full on blur from the crappy cell phone camera.

It was fun and a challenge on the snow with a rear that should be replaced pretty soon.

It looks like there was someone with a motorcycle that was a tad crazy too.

It's amazing how warm 36* feels after a good old fashioned winter like what we just got
